What is PaidJoin?
PaidJoin lets you sell paid access to your private Telegram channels and groups. You connect your channel, set up plans (fixed periods from 1 to 365 days, monthly or yearly subscriptions, or lifetime), and share a single link. Our bot handles checkout, invites, renewal reminders, and removing expired members automatically.
Does PaidJoin get access to my Telegram account when I log in?
No. The login button is Telegram's own official login widget — when you approve, Telegram shares only your name, username, and ID so the dashboard knows who you are. PaidJoin never gets access to your account, your messages, or your contacts, and cannot act as you. The bot itself only receives the two admin rights you grant it in your channel: creating invite links and removing members.
How do my customers pay?
They tap your link, pick a plan, and pay by card through Stripe Checkout. After payment, the bot sends them a personal single-use invite link, and they're inside your channel in under 2 minutes. If they ever lose an unused invite link, the /status command re-issues it.
Where does the money go?
Directly to your own Stripe account. PaidJoin never holds your funds and takes 0% of your sales. Your customers and revenue are yours, end to end.
What does PaidJoin cost?
It's free during beta for founding creators. After that, it's a flat $19/month with unlimited communities, unlimited members, and no sales caps ever. We never take a cut of your sales.
Do you support PayPal, crypto, or Telegram Stars?
Not yet. Today, payments work through Stripe (cards) only. PayPal, crypto, and Telegram Stars are planned, but we won't promise dates - if Stripe doesn't work for you yet, PaidJoin probably isn't the right fit today.
What happens when a member doesn't renew?
They get renewal reminders 72 and 24 hours before expiry, each with a renew button, and failed recurring payments get follow-ups. If they still don't renew, there's a 24-hour grace period after expiry before the bot removes them. If they renew later, they're let back in instantly.
Can my existing channel members get kicked by accident?
No. The bot only ever removes people whose PaidJoin membership has expired - it never touches members who were already in your channel. To migrate an existing community, announce your PaidJoin link, set a deadline, and manually remove non-payers once; from then on everything is automatic.
Is my Stripe API key safe?
We ask for a restricted key with minimal permissions, not your full secret key, and the dashboard shows you exactly where to create one. Keys are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM on EU servers (Germany). We never see card numbers - Stripe handles the entire checkout.
What data do you store?
Telegram user IDs and usernames, membership, plan, and payment records (amounts only - no card data), and audit logs of every action the system takes. Everything is hosted in the EU (Germany, Hetzner), and sessions use signed cookies. Card details never touch our servers; Stripe handles those.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no lock-in - you can stop whenever you want. Your Stripe account and your customers remain yours, since payments always went directly to you in the first place.
Do my customers need anything besides Telegram?
Just Telegram and a card that works with Stripe Checkout. There's no account to create and no app to install - they tap your link, pay, and receive their personal invite link from the bot.
What happens if the bot loses admin rights in my channel?
The bot needs admin rights (invite via link and ban members) to issue invites and remove expired members. If it can't perform an action, the failure is audit-logged and surfaces as an alert in your dashboard so you can fix it - usually by re-adding the bot as admin with the right permissions.
How do refunds work?
You handle refunds yourself in your own Stripe account, since payments go directly to you - PaidJoin never holds the money. If you refund someone, you can revoke their access from the PaidJoin dashboard. The decision and the funds stay entirely in your hands.
How do I get support?
Message us on Telegram at @PaidJoinBot. Issues that need your attention - like a member the bot couldn't remove - also show up as alerts in your creator dashboard. The company behind PaidJoin is based in Sweden, and Swedish law governs the service.
